“Schools can book the stadium for their sports day events on dates where it isn’t occupied by other events”, highlighted Yeoh.

Following this exciting news, Yeoh revealed that apart from the Bukit Jalil stadium, the Jalan Duta Sports Complex and Bukit Kiara Sports Complex is also available for schools to hold their sport events, free of charge.  When asked for her two cents on the decision made, Yeoh said that she wanted the children to be inspired.

“We want to be able to encourage the children and let them experience what it feels like to participate in sports activity in proper stadiums”, she said adding that these experiences could inspire the children to become athletes.

Prior to this, schools that wish to book stadium for their sport events are required to pay for rental costs at a discounted rate. With this announcement, schools can now book the stadiums via the PSM‘s website starting from August!

Great move and we hope more children will have access to proper sport activity experiences!
