Abang polis drives M’sian elderly home upon finding out that he has no money left after paying his saman

Police officers are law enforcement officials who are responsible for maintaining public order. Just recently, two police men were commended for their act of kindness when they stumbled upon a Malaysian elderly man.

According to a post by Polis (IPD) Shah Alam, an old man has headed to the police station to pay his traffic fines. Walking under the scorching sun, the 76-year-old man finally arrived at the station and headed towards the payment counter to settle his summons.

Upon checking they found out that the man has been blacklisted and is unable to renew his insurance and road tax until he pays his fines. After settling his payment, Inspector Muhammad Hanif and Constable Khairul Zulkifli noticed that the man wasn’t feeling well. Asking how he was about to head home, the man revealed that he was going to walk home.

“I don’t have enough money to take the public transport or get a taxi”, said the elderly.

Out of the kindness of their hearts, the officers then decided to take him home. Slowly escorting him out of the building, the man was assisted into one of the police cars and they successfully sent the 76-year-old home located in Taman Puchong Perdana, Puchong, Selangor.

Urging for other policers to show kindness and empathy where necessary, the PDRM hopes that through this matter, they’re able to integrate and connect with the society, without any barriers.
