From 14th – 16th November, Queensbay Mall wasn’t just buzzing – it was alive! Right at the heart of that energy was CIMB, turning Karnival Celik Kewangan into one of the most vibrant and unforgettable events of the weekend. If you didn’t catch it, here’s everything that made the CIMB booth an absolute highlight.
5 Reasons Why CIMB Stole The Spotlight At Karnival Celik Kewangan
1. They Made Finance Fun

Forget the usual serious, sit-down talks. CIMB flipped the script with hands-on games, friendly chats and practical money tips anyone could grasp. Many visitors walked in expecting “just another booth,” but walked out saying, “Whoa… I actually learned something!”
2. Saturday’s Line-Up Was a Crowd Favourite

Saturday was easily the carnival’s peak. It opened with a lively KBJK Musical Sketch, followed by an inspiring message from CIMB Malaysia CEO, Mr Gurdip Singh Sindhu, on making financial knowledge accessible for everyone.

But the moment everyone talked about? The uplifting fireside chat with Datuk Nicol David – her stories about confidence, discipline and smart financial habits resonated with the crowd. The launch of the CIMB × Nicol David Foundation right after made the whole day even more meaningful.
3. OCTO Was the Star Everyone Wanted to Meet

CIMB’s beloved mascot OCTO absolutely stole hearts. Each time he appeared, kids rushed in for hugs and photos, while adults (even the shy ones) ended up snapping selfies. His cheerful energy uplifted the vibes throughout the entire carnival.
4. Crowded CIMB Booth & People Stayed Longer Than Expected
From morning to night, the CIMB booth was buzzing nonstop. Visitors dove into interactive financial games, explored stories from CIMB Kita Bagi Jadi Komuniti and iTEKAD, and got simple, personalised guidance from the CIMB team.

Plus, the giveaways and surprise activities kept the excitement going – proof that learning can be engaging when it’s done right.
5. Sunday Wrapped Up With Heartwarming Family Moments
The final day had a cosy, family-friendly atmosphere. OCTO returned for more meet-and-greets, Financial Faiz hosted his “Check Your Finance Health” session and the evening closed with the “Mai Celik Kewangan Bersama OCTO” showcase. Families ended their weekend learning together and by sharing moments that mattered.

CIMB transformed what could’ve been a typical financial event into a warm, joyful and interactive experience for visitors of all ages.
