Developing a love for cooking, this Malaysian wife has decided to make her new passion worthwhile, preparing food for the less fortunate every Thursdays and Fridays, using the allowance given by her husband.

According to local newspaper Sinar Harian, the woman named Amirah has decided to give back the society in her own way, by cooking. Using the allowance given by her husband, she is able to rack up 50 to 100 packets of food to give out. Sharing her little kindness venture, Amirah mentioned that she has been doing this for over 4 to 5 years.

“I’ve was taught that a wife should always do good by her husband, and this is what I think I can do best for the both of us”, she said.
While she thinks that her contribution may not be as great as others due to financial restrictions, she believes that what she is doing is enough as it is based on the kindness of her own heart. When asked if she has anyone assisting her when she cooks, the woman answered,
“I do all the cooking on my own. I only cook a large amount on Thursdays and Fridays, so it’s not too taxing.”

Documenting her journey online, Amirah has a TikTok account where she shares simple tips and recipes for those who are trying to get into cooking. Adding that it’s a fun way to share her passion, she expressed how happy she is that she is able to offer guidance towards a large number of people, in the comfort of her own home.
