As the cost-of-living gradually increases, many people have been struggling to keep themselves afloat or even feed their family. Just recently, a Malaysian man has shared his encounter with a man who couldn’t afford to buy his family food.
Kind M’sian gives away packed food to man & his children
Taking the incident to his social media account, Abu shared that he was in the midst of packing up the PA system after a kindergarten event has come to an end. And on the table next to him were leftover food that were packed in containers. As he was cleaning up, he caught a glimpse of a man in his motorcycle, with two children riding pillion.
“I could see them looking at the food on the table”, said Abu.
As the man on the bike reaches a dead end, he then turned around, once again passing by Abu looking at the leftover food. Seeing that the man has been going back and forth, Abu made the first move and asked the man if he wanted the food.
“I saw his children and they looked starved”, he mentioned.
“Let’s go home and eat with mom, dad!”
Politely asking if he could take the leftover food, the man also explained his condition, sharing that he isn’t able to provide food for his wife and children because he works on a daily pay scheme and he fell sick today.
Sympathizing with his condition, Abu then headed over to the table and packed some food for the family. He then told the man that he’s packed some vermicelli, roti jala and some light snacks for them. And upon seeing that they have enough food, one of the kids then told his father,
“Let’s go home and eat with mom.”
Feeling touched and wanting to help the little family, Abu then dug out whatever cash he has left in his pocket and gave it to the man. Shocked, the man quickly asked what the money was for, and Abu mentioned that it was just a little something to help him tide through the day.
Witnessing the encounter for himself, Abu realised that life is indeed getting harder for many people out there and urged the public to help each other whenever they can.
Thank you for helping them when they needed help the most, Abu. We hope things turn out for the better for that little family.
