The loss of a loved one is definitely not easy to bear. And this was particularly felt by a Malaysian man as he bids goodbye to his mother.
M’sian man recalls the last thing his mom said to him before passing on
According to local online media, mStar, a Malaysian man shared his story about his mother’s passing. In the post, the man shared that ever since his mother was diagnosed with an illness, his mom rarely cook. Even if she does, the dishes were all simple. Knowing that she was ill, the man never once complained about her cooking.

However, a few days before her passing, his mother made a request to his father and asked for him to bring her to the market. She then bought some chicken and fish back home and began cleaning all of it.
“The day before she passed, she asked me what we’d like to eat”, said the man.
It was the last time she cooked for them
Without a second thought, him and his sibling both said how they missed her ikan tiga rasa. And as the loving mother she is, she then prepared two fishes cooked just the way they liked it. As the man was enjoying the meal with his father and sibling, he noticed that his mother only stood at a corner and watched them eat with small smile.
“Just keep it for tomorrow, I won’t be cooking tomorrow”, said his mother upon noticing that there was one fish left. But the man was determined to finish the fish and told the mother that they’re happy to grab something else as a meal tomorrow.

After spending some time together, him and his sibling then bid their goodbyes and headed back to their own homes. As night dawned upon them, she started experiencing shortness of breath and was sent to the hospital by an ambulance. Unfortunately, she passed on while on the way to the hospital.
“To date, my biggest regret is not spending the night there. I didn’t expect that the food she cooked us that night was the last meal she’ll ever make for us”, said the man.
Ending his story, the man then urged for the public to spend as much time as they can with their family as we won’t know what happens next.
Truly a devastating story, and we hope the man is able to let go of the grievances.
