Having our grandparents with us to share special moments is a blessing not everyone can enjoy. For one bride, her grandfather’s unexpected reaction at her wedding ceremony was one moment to remember.
M’sian bride touched by grandfather’s emotional reaction at her wedding
Watching a family member suffer from an ailment like dementia can be difficult. As for Aisya Nuralysya, her grandfather had the illness for more than a year, she told Wau Post.
Along with the disease comes bouts of forgetfulness and the inability to recognize people at times. Hence, which was why Aisya was recently surprised by her grandfather’s reaction on her wedding day.
“Truly a special moment”
“We all thought he wouldn’t understand what was happening when I got married,” Aisya wrote in her caption. However, as the bride made her walk down the aisle, to everyone’s astonishment, her grandfather started to cry.
Moreover, she added that he was never the emotional kind of person. “He was always very serious, even more so when my grandma passed away,” she said. And, that made the moment all the more special. In her TikTok video, Aisya and her grandfather are weeping together, as she embraces him lovingly.
Also, Aisya’s tender moment with her grandfather has captured the hearts of netizens everywhere. Many who watched the clip began recounting their own memories with their grandparents.
It’s wonderful to see that nothing can break a grandfather’s love for his grandchild. We do hope that Aisya and her family will continue to get through good times and bad, together.
