In a recent video posted by Lilisan, she shared that she has decided to splurge RM87 ($15GBP) for a plate of Nasi Lemak, in hopes of curing her homesickness. Dining in a restaurant in London called Melur, Lilisan was greeted by a sense of familiarity, but was aware that the hearty meal was still no match for what she could get back in Malaysia.
Looking at the video, she was served with a standard plate of Nasi Lemak, consisting of fragrant coconut rice, sambal, fried chicken, hard boiled eggs as well as anchovies, peanuts and cucumbers! While the taste and presentation of the dish was very similar to Malaysia, as someone hailing from Kelantan, she expressed how much she misses the food there.
After finishing the meal, Lilisan shared that their total bill came out to be RM619.80, where she and friends have decided to split the bill to help lessen each other’s burden.
As we video makes waves online, Lilisan was also given plenty of suggestions to try other restaurants in London that serves authentic Malaysian food. With that in mind, she expressed how excited she is to be trying out and exploring new restaurants with her friends!
