Just over two days ago, news broke out that the CEO of MYAirlines, Rayner, has made the decision to step down as company CEO due to health issues. In shocking news today, MYAirline realeased a statement, mentioning that they will be temporarily ceasing their operations until further notice.
MYAirline temporarily suspends operations from Oct 12 until further notice
According to the press release, MyAirline states that the suspension of its operation will be effective today (12 Oct) until further notice. This would mean that all flight that were scheduled have been cancelled. The airline mentions that the decision made is extremely painful but necessary as the airline is currently facing significant financial pressures.
“Currently, we are pending on the restructuring and recapitalisation of the airline”, it said.
Following the news of their temporary suspension on services, the airline also apologised to its loyal passengers, dedicated employees and partners.
“We have tried various ways to raise funds for our capital as well as explore other partnerships but unfortunately to no avail”, said the statement.
Unable to commit to any timeline
Due to time constraints, the airline company then made the decision to temporarily suspend its services. With the announcement of their temporary suspension, MYAirline urges all their affected passengers to email customercare@myairline.my, where their team will be working tirelessly to ensure that assistance is provided.

Ending the statement, the airlines is adamant in turning things around by working tirelessly to ensure that they’re able to resume its operations. However, at this stage, it will not be able to give any timeline but reassures its passengers and public that timely updates will be provided as soon as they can.
