“This is my resume” M’sian e-hailing driver comes up with creative way to job hunt
Of all the ways to find a job, who would have thought of this? Twitter user @naziruddin19 shared his take on job hunting, and his unconventional methods have garnered much attention over the weekend.
Speaking to Wau Post, Naziruddin explained that the idea came about when he was talking to one of his passengers whom he had picked up. It all started from a conversation when the passenger had inquired on whether he was working as a part time or full-time driver.
He proceeded to tell her that he was actually in search of a new job. Then, the passenger asked if Naziruddin would like to give her his resume so that she could share with all his colleagues. That was the pivoting moment for him where he realised that he could advertise his resume while driving on the job!
He did not expect this idea to work, but soon enough, a few employers had reached out to him. Besides being grateful for the blow-up tweet, Naziruddin was glad that his post could inspire others.
“I actually feel really happy that people can use my idea to promote themselves, because I know some of the drivers are just doing this job before they can get their dream job,” he says.
