China is home to many singing competitions with many participants from different countries joining. With that said, a handful of Malaysian participants have also headed over to China to showcase their talents! And just over the weekend, 23-year-old Malaysian singer Jeryl Lee has made headlines for winning a singing competition, “The Next 2023”.

Jeryl lee is no stranger to many Malaysians as she has been singing ever since she was a young child. Following her journey, Jeryl has participated in many singing competitions locally and abroad.

Back in 2016, the young and talented singer decided to participate in a famous singing competition, Sing! China, becoming one of the youngest participants to ever join the competition. An excellent testimony that her hard work has paid off as she managed to advance into the final round.
Fast forward six years later, the Penang based singer has taken the stage in a singing competition entitled “The Next 2023“. As she graced the stage in a stunning black outfit, she performed her first song Believer, which earned plenty of praises online. For her next performance, she was dressed in a blue gown and started singing the song 流浪记.

Drawing from her own life experiences, Jeryl was able to fully express her emotions through the songs. With her outstanding ability to sing, she was crowned at the overall champion for the competition!
