Oral hygiene is something we should all look into to ensure that our teeth can stay healthy and clean. Poor oral hygiene can lead to various dental problems like cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. With that said it’s important to schedule dental appointments at least twice a year.

M’sian shares how she managed to get her dental scaling done for RM3

While it is important to get your dental appointments lined up, the cost to visit a dentist is often not cheap, but thanks to this Malaysian, you can now schedule a dental appointment for only RM3!  In a series of tweets, Alena shared that she has managed to secure a dental appointment from her MySejahtera app.

“The first thing you need to do is to make an appointment through the MySejahtera application. You tap the appointments icon, then you scroll all the way down and tap on dental check-up”, she said.

Following that, you’ll have to enter your postcode and appointments available in the nearest date will be listed. Speaking to Wau Post, Alena shared that in order to be able to secure a spot, it’s best to try booking it at 12am or early in the morning. She revealed that she stumbled upon this and was able to do it through trial and error.

After securing your appointment, all you have to do is show up 30 minutes earlier so you can head over to the counter to check in using the MySejahtera app, obtain your queue number, pay RM1 and get your blood pressure checked.

“In about 15 minutes they called my number and I got to meet my dentist of the day Dr. Liyana”, she mentioned.

After greeting her doctor, Alena began talking about what her concerns were and what treatments would she like to get, which consists of a general check-up and scaling. She expressed her satisfaction over Dr. Liyana and her assistant’s care and service as they were very nice and assuring throughout the whole process.

The best part about this is that her treatment was done within 10 minutes, and she was in and out of the clinic within 30 minutes! Alena expressed that she was very grateful to have met such nice doctors and was told that it was her lucky day as the clinic wasn’t packed.

“It may take longer if the clinic is packed that day”, she said,

When asked for her advice on the matter, Alena emphasised on the importance of booking the time slots at 12am or early in the morning as it appears that the clinics would refresh their time slots at 12am.
