Living in a world where we would occasionally take things for granted, it’s undeniable that most of us will forget that having a healthy body and being able to fulfill our dreams is a privilege. Just recently, a Malaysian non-profit organisation shared a heartfelt post about how they managed to help a 13-year-old fulfill her dream.
13yo M’sia with kidney failure takes the spotlight and fulfills her modelling dream
In their recent post, Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia mentioned that a 13-year-old girl named Jessica Magdelina is currently suffering from kidney failure. Raised by a single father, Jessica being the youngest is met with a difficult situation, and her chances of receiving a renal transplant, the cure to kidney failure, is very slim.

However, despite her current condition, Jessica remains positive and has the lifelong dream to become a model. With the help of Talent Shop Sabah, they’ve decided to give the young teen a chance to become a model for a day! Along with the companionship of her sister and a CWS volunteer, Anita Chung, Jessica headed to a mall to shop for her outfit.

After picking her outfit, Jessica was all dolled up, ready to take the spotlight and infect others with her smile and cute demeanor. Throughout the shoot, Jessica was seen radiating happiness and at one point was joined by CWS volunteer, Anita Chung, Datuk Susan Chang and nurse, Sister Arlene.

Following that, Teoh Teik Hoong, the president of CWS expressed how honoured he was to be able to help the young teen fulfill her dream. He added that he is happy to see Jessica letting herself go during the shoot, thoroughly enjoying the experience.
“The society will continue to grant the wishes of ailing children across the country, especially those is Sabah and Sarawak”, he emphasised.
