“Uncle mamak!”, M’sian parents surprises their child by bringing him to the mamak his favourite employee works at

By now, it’s a known fact that Malaysia provides a plethora of food choices. On top of that, Malaysians and tourists alike wouldn’t have to worry about going to bed hungry as we have plenty of eateries that operate throughout the night. Just recently, a heartwarming video has showcased a bond between a child and a mamak restaurant employee!

Watching the video for ourselves, a child was seen heading to a mamak restaurant with his parents. In the video, the caption has stated that the boy has bonded with one of the employees from the mamak that they frequent often. However, as the eatery expands into different outlets, the said employee has also been transferred to a different branch.

Affectionately known as uncle mamak towards the child, he began asking his parents where uncle mamak went. Knowing that their child misses the particular employee, they’ve decided to surprise their child by bringing him to the branch the employee is working at.

Speaking to Wau Post, Luth’s mother shared that prior to this, they’ve been going to the same mamak restaurant for 4 years. Patronising the eatery frequently, their son has grown close to one of the employees from the eatery.

“When he transferred to another branch, Luth kept asking for his whereabouts, and that’s when we know he misses his uncle mamak”, she said.

Surprising their child with a trip to the mamak, when came in contact with the employee, he was seen smiling sheepishly while being engulfed in a warm hug by the employee. And true enough the video has perfectly showcased how children are innocent souls with nothing but love to offer those who would treat them well.

We’re happy to see that Luth was able to reunite with his uncle mamak!
