In a recent event that pulled on the heartstrings of many, Azfarul Zainol Akmar better known as Tuah Lim on Facebook has shared that he received a bank note that had some writings on it.
M’sian searching for owner who got a RM50 note from late dad
According Azfarul, on the day itself, he headed over to a gas station near Gambang to withdraw some money from the ATM machine. Receiving the bank notes, he then went home without thinking much about it. And it wasn’t until later night when he took the cash out that he realised that there were writings on it.
Reading the RM50 bank note it said,
“The last bank note that dad gave, 11/5/2020. Al-fatihah.”
Almost immediately, sadness washed through Azfarul, as he empathizes for the person who received the note. Realising that the bank note may possess some sort of sentimental value towards the receiver, he has decided to take matters into his own hands.
Posting it onto his Facebook, Azfarul urged netizens to share his post, and asked the owner of the bank note to contact him so they could keep the note.
“In the meantime, I will keep this bank note and will not use it until the rightful owner claims it”, expressed Azfarul.
As the post makes waves around social media, many people have commented on the video and here’s what some of them said:
“The note looks very decent still. I think the person must’ve kept it well until they had no choice but to use it. Life hasn’t been the easiest these days. We as outsiders found it painful reading this, I couldn’t even imagine the pain they have to go through.”
“Hopefully the owner is found.”
“This is so sad, having no choice but to give it up. I hope the money is returned to its rightful owner.”
We hope that the owner of the bank note sees the post and would contact Azfarul, we can only imagine how valuable a dad’s last gift to their child is.
