Talented M’sian man stuns crowd with his beautiful kolam drawing
Incorporating some of the local culture, this Malaysian man has decided to showcase his creativity by coming up with a Kolam drawing about the Independence Day of Malaysia at a hotel! Packed with vibrant colours as well as the iconic towers and skyscrapers in Malaysia, the Kolam drawing has truly caught the attention of many.
On top of showcasing the beauty of Malaysia through their culture, Ganesh also managed to draw our first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, the Father of Independence in Malaysia.
Speaking to Wau Post, Ganesh said,
“It took me about 4 to 5 hours to finish the entire piece.”
His Kolam drawing was definitely a beautiful tribute not only to Malaysians but to our first prime minister who fought hard for our independence. Sharing the process, Ganesh marked down each of the step he took to create the masterpiece. Having a portrait on his phone, he started out by structuring the face of Tunku Abdul Rahman with white rice.
Then, he continued on by structuring out the body of the prime minister, before moving on to a huge Jalur Gemilang flag. Finishing up the portrait, iconic buildings and skyscrapers were drawn on, showcasing a perfect blend of modernity and patriotism. With each element handcrafted to perfection, the piece of Kolam drawing has since garnered over 19,000 likes.
Plenty of netizens have also commented on it and here’s what some of them said:
