By now, Malaysians are no stranger to competitive eating, an extreme activity where participants are required to consume large quantities of food in a specific time frame. Just last year, competitive eater Zermatt Neo has visited Kuala Lumpur, where he and his team challenged themselves to finish 50 Ramly burgers.
Making his way to Malaysia again, the Singapore based competitive eater is now in Penang, one of the states with amazing food. According to a post by Nasi Kandar Sulaiman, Zermatt has visited their eatery, where he ordered a whopping RM300 plate of Nasi Kandar.
Filled to the brim, the plate of Nasi Kandar includes bowls of rice, along with curry sauces and other dishes like okra, squid, fish, fried chicken, a gigantic fish head and eggs. Expressing their fascination, the eatery shared how this was their first-time encountering a competitive eater who ordered a total of RM300 in a single plate of Nasi Kandar.
“We were surprised to see him take this on. This is groundbreaking for us because it’s the first time in our history of opening that someone would order so much in a single seating”, they wrote.
Watching him devour the food, Zermatt went through it like a breeze finishing the gigantic plate of Nasi Kandar in just 2 hours! Sharing it to their social media, plenty of people have commented and here’s what some of them said:
