Spirit of Ramadan: Bazar vendor sells martabak at RM3 so it doesn’t burden his customers

It’s always nice to perform kind deeds, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Just yesterday, a bazar vendor selling martabak has gone viral for his generosity, selling his delectable delicacy at only RM3 per piece!

Located in Sedim, Kulim, bazar vendor, Ahmad Tarmimi Othman is determined to sell his martabak at a low price of RM3. With the help of his wife, Siti Zalehah Ramli, the pair has been operating their stall for over 14 years and has never once increased their prices.

“I have no intentions on raising the price because I just want my customers to not feel burdened”, adding that he wants people to be fed well, especially during the holy month.

And while the price of the martabak is relatively low, the 42-year-old vendor assures that the quality and taste of his martabak remains the same. When asked about his stall, he shared that he doesn’t only operate during Ramadan, but on normal days too.

“I keep the price at RM3 during normal days too”, he said.

Emphasizing on his intentions, the kind vendor shares that he isn’t here to compete with other vendors and is just trying to make a living. Despite selling at a low price, Ahmad Tarmimi shared that he is still able to make a living out of it and manage to use the money earned to further improve his business.

As of now, Ahmad Tarmimi and his wife operates their martabak stall at the bazar Ramadan Sedim every day from 3pm onwards.
