“There are 3 private lots on the island itself and part of the island, which totals up to 1.695 hectares is for sale”, he said, adding that the owner of the island is looking to sell a portion of the island, which is privately owned.

Sharing some details about the island, the experienced consultant shared that Pulau Jemurok is located not far from the Mangrove Langkawi Geopark. With its freehold properties, Faizul affirmed that the land being sold is a perfect spot for potential buyers to use it as an investment portfolio or to build a resort, further monetizing the land.

“The asking price for the land is now RM49.50 per square foot and the entire land (1.695 hectares), would cost a little over RM9 million”, said the real estate consultant.

Garnering traction from the public, Faizul speculates that the virality of his video comes from the notion that viewers may have thought that owning the entire island would only cost RM49.50 per square foot. As of now, the video has garnered over 550,000 views and 20k likes!
