We all have dreams and ambitions that we all hope to one day fulfill during the course of our lives. However, some of these dreams may prove to be more difficult to bring into reality whether if its due to financial constraints or other challenges.
Porsche turns 22-year-old M’sian’s dreams into reality
Fortunately enough for 22-year-old Malaysian Krithin Paul Pereira, he was able to witness one of his lifelong aspirations being brought to life, with the help of German sportscar manufacturer Porsche. In a video that was uploaded to their official social media pages yesterday (March 19th, 2023), the company took to sharing Krithin’s story with their fans and the challenges he faces as a cerebral palsy patient.
Despite being differently-abled, the young man has proven his mettle as a truly gifted artist who expresses himself through his pieces, each done in an incredibly distinctive style.
In speaking with Porsche’s in-house magazine, 9:11, Krithin’s mother, Ashita Pereira, recalls how the first three months of his life were spent trying to survive as an infant owing to his condition. Describing how he wants to bring the beauty of art through sheets of paper, she further adds that he hopes to explore the world through his artistic affinity and love for the legendary carmaker.
Recognising his talent and passion for their cars, especially the storied 911 coupe, they decided to make Krithin’s dreams come true by flying him out to their design studio located in Weissach, Germany with help from the company’s Asia Pacific PR representatives.
“He feels a lot of joy and excitement when he draws the Porsche cars.” his mother notes.
A true fan of the storied German brand
Some of the subjects in Krithin’s artworks include the Porsche 935 racecar, as well as the 911 sportscar and Cayenne sports utility vehicle (SUV). One of the company’s designers, Stephane Lenglin, describes the young man’s art style as unique, and not commonly found everywhere. Kirthin’s enthusiasm at being able to see many of the brand’s storied models up close is reflected clearly in the joy on his face as he tours the grounds.
What’s more, Porsche even arranged for Krithin’s first-ever ride in a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, on the historic Hokenheimring racetrack.
Strapped in a bucket seat, the young man could not contain his excitement through the dips, dives, and sharp turns as the nimble, bright-red sportscar raced on the tarmac with its signature engine note punctuating the air.
“He [Krithin] is not only inspiring to us in the Porsche community, but to a much wider audience as well.” said Rohan Matthew, a PR and communications specialist working with Porsche Asia Pacific.
The initiative has since been met with much praise from Porsche fans across the globe, many of whom were happy to see how Krithin was granted the opportunity to experience his favourite cars in person.
