Australian couple praises M’sia for their top-notch train facilities
Over 10 days ago, an Australian couple who has a YouTube channel has decided to a train from Kota Bahru, Kelantan to Kuala Lipis, Pahang. In their 9-minute video, they’ve mentioned that throughout their train journey, they’ve stopped at a couple of stations to explore places nearby before finally heading to Kuala Lipis. The couple shared that they’ve spent about RM14 in total for the train ride, with each stop costing them about RM3 – RM4.
“We were pleasantly surprised by how smooth and easy it was with their online ticketing service”, they said.
Along their way, they were able to enjoy the “jungle view”, all the while praising how well-maintained and clean the train was. The couple was also happy to find that the train facilities were rather well-equipped and modern, making their travel experience much more pleasant.
“Time and time again, we’re humbled by Malaysians.”
While the facilities and sceneries offered were delightful, they felt like what stood out the most throughout their train journey was the hospitality they received from Malaysians. In the video, John expressed how overwhelmed he was with the hospitality he received saying that it’s hard to explain the emotions unless you’ve been to Malaysia.
“Malaysians are so nice, time and time again, they’ve humbled us, welcoming us with open arms and giving us plenty of food”, mentioned John.
Following that, his wife, Jay shared that this train journey was one the best rides they’ve ever taken, given that the tickets were cheap, and facilities were great, and the coach was modern.
“We’ve travelled a lot by train all over Europe and in the US, and this is by far the cheapest and best value experience we’ve ever had”, she said.
They then ended the video urging all tourists who are planning to come to Malaysia to try out the train services that are available.
