Just recently, a Malaysian has captured a heartwarming scene at a mamak restaurant, where Malaysians were seen cheering loudly after witnessing the men’s double winning the bronze medal!

According to a TikTok video by ShahAidin, he shared that he was having his meal at a mamak located in Kuala Lumpur. Watching the video for ourselves, the TV was showcasing live footages of our men’s double shuttler, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in action. Witnessing a miraculous win from the second match, Malaysians were definitely on edge watching the game!
Closing up on the third round with Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik leading the score with 20-19, it was clear that tension arose at the eatery, where everyone was very focused on the game.

As soon as the iconic pair gained their bronze medal point, claiming victory, the whole mamak was filled with cheers! Panning his phone around, it was evident that everyone watching the game were beyond thrilled for our national heroes.
Speaking to Wau Post, ShahAidin shared that it was definitely a wild ride watching the entire match. With everyone invested in the game, the miraculous save from the second match had ignited hope for all Malaysians.
“I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and patriotism when I saw them win. he cheers from everyone at the mamak were electrifying and truly showcased the unity and spirit of our nation”, he said.

Adding on to it, Shahaidin mentioned that the bronze medal win was a powerful reminder to all Malaysians that sports can bring us together and make us feel connected as one. Being able to celebrate our shared identity and love for our country, is so needed.
