Those of us who keep pets of our own at home tend to understand the sentiment of coddling them to the point of excess, and never leaving them wanting for more. On the other hand, stray animals born to the streets are not accorded the same comforts, oftentimes being left exposed to the elements with no choice but to fend for themselves and survive off the kindness of others.
Local stall owner feeds stray dog daily
And among those kind souls who are willing to extend some measure of generosity to these animals include include Kak Ida (@norassida), who recently took to her TikTok account to share her frequent encounters with a dog that she has dubbed ‘Jojo’.
In her clip, she explains that Jojo frequently turns up at her roadside stall, which is located along Jalan Besar Sungai Bekap, in the Seberang Perai district of Penang. Pointing towards an empty patch of ground, she explains that the dog would wait on her in the mornings to prepare a meal for it.
But best of all, Kak Ida doesn’t skimp on portions when it comes to feeding Jojo, as evidenced by the amount of food that her helper piles on. With a mound of white rice, chicken, and two sliced-up hard-boiled eggs, she ensures that the dog is well-fed each and every time it visits.
Not a hint of aggression
And in kind, the dog appears to be incredibly friendly with her and her helper when they bring out its meals, striding over to its usual spot without a hint of aggression. In fact, she points out that her helper, who is usually terrified of dogs, is comfortable around Jojo given its docile nature.
Her video, which has since been viewed 212,300 times since it was uploaded, has been met with much praise from local netizens.
