Saving up money is never easy as it requires discipline and determination. With that said, many people would use various methods to save up, including the use of tin or ceramic containers. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts to save up for rainy days, they were devastated to find out that the bank notes were chewed off by termites.
M’sian woman devastated to find out that her mum’s savings have been chewed up by termites
According to a post by @madam_mama06 on TikTok, the woman shared a heartbreaking footage of them discovering their hard-earned savings chewed off by termites. Trying to recover whatever they could, it was apparent that many of the notes have been destroyed or torn into pieces.

Speaking to Wau Post, the woman shared that they’ve started saving not long ago. And to their dismay, the termites have gotten to them before they could even calculate the amount.
“We were assessing our lost and found that many of the RM50 notes have been chewed off”, she said.
When asked if they’ve encountered something similar, the woman revealed that it was their first time dealing with such a matter. Prior to this, they would always save up a portion of their savings in tin containers.

“We would always place it at the same spot, and this has never happened to us”, she mentioned.
Posting it onto her socials, many netizens have empathized with her ordeal and a handful of them have messaged her, giving her the suggestion to bring all the money she could to the bank so she could exchange it with some new banknotes.
