Malaysia is a diverse country filled with a plethora of food choices. With that said, one of the musts tries when in Malaysia is definitely Nasi Kandar! Just over two months ago, Singapore based competitive eater Zermatt Neo has decided to take things up a notch, challenging to finish RM300 worth of Nasi Kandar!
M’sian man breaks record by eating RM350 worth of Nasi Kandar
According to a Penang Nasi Kandar eatery, Nasi Kandar Sulaiman, a man famously known as Ashwad Fat burger has decided to take on the challenge and attempt to finish a Nasi Kandar that’s worth RM350!
In the post they wrote,
“Our all-time highest record! RM350 worth of Nasi Kandar!”

They also mentioned that this isn’t the first time Ashwad has challenged himself to a hearty and not-so wallet friendly challenge. Prior to this, the man was seen indulging in a plate of Nasi Kandar that’s worth RM222! Shortly after, his record was broken by many, including the competitive eater from Singapore, Zermatt Neo.
Looking at the picture, the Nasi Kandar was filled to the brim in a tray, with many different dishes like prawns, a gigantic fish head as well as squid, squid eggs, eggs with onion and chicken.
Watching Ashwad’s TikTok video, he mentioned,
“After an hour of battle with this tray of Nasi Kandar, I finally managed to finish it.”

With that said, Ashwad now holds the record for most expensive plate of Nasi Kandar at said local eatery! Emphasising further, the local eatery revealed that this isn’t a publicity stunt, nor did they invite him over to break the record.
