We all remember how frustrated, annoyed, and downright angry some challenging video game levels have gotten us feeling in the past. In fact, the frustration and anger that comes out of playing video games has become so commonplace, we have even coined a phrase for it: rage-quitting.
M’sian man instantly regrets rage-quitting FIFA match
And while rage-quitting a particularly infuriating video game can be pretty cathartic, it’s probably advisable to do it in a place where you’re not within striking distance of your precious consoles or gadgets. Unfortunately for one Malaysian man, that was a lesson that he would have to learn through experience. In video clip that was recently uploaded by Twitter netizen @aliazafff, otherwise known as Alia Zaferi, she shares how her husband has recently been engrossed in a particularly spirited game of FIFA on his PS5.
Naturally as a competitive virtual sport, tensions can brew pretty high throughout a match. And despite his best efforts, Alia’s husband wound up losing his game.
PS5 controller struck the ground before bouncing up & damaging TV
In a fit of what can only be described as rage-quit, he was then seen slamming his PS5 controller to the ground. However, the laws pf physics led to the controller bouncing right off the ground from the impact, before ricocheting directly on their television set. Needless to say, the screen suffered enough damage to turn blue, showing off a massive crack from where it has been struck.
“Here’s a sad short story from last night…. all of a sudden, we don’t have a television for a month. Who asked him to get so emotional when playing FIFA?” Alia joked in her caption.
Her Tweet, which has since gone viral across social media, has led to many amused reactions from netizens over that moment of instant regret that her husband had no-doubt experienced after. However, some have also raised concerns over her husband’s apparent lack of control over his own temper.
In responding to those comments, Alia shared with Wau Post that her husband is by no means abusive, and have asked netizens not to pass their judgements on her husband over a mere 15-second video clip.
“Plus, they’re not the ones who paid for the new TV.” she added.
She has also explained that she had simply shared the video for laughs, and called for netizens not to take it seriously.
