As Malaysians celebrate Chinese New Year, many have come up with creative ways to give out red packets. Just recently, a Malaysian company has gone viral for its creative way to offer their staff some extra cash!
M’sian furniture company generously lets staff grab more than RM10k on the table while blindfolded
According to MNJ Kitchen on Xiao Hong Shu, boss Michael has decided to offer some extra bonus on top of the angpau they’ve received. Watching the video, the boss shared that over RM10,000 has been spread out on the table. As straightforward as it looks, the employees are given the opportunity to ‘scoop’ as much money they can on the table.

However, the twist to it is that when grabbing money off the table, the employee must be blindfolded. Making it a little more challenging for the staffs, they were also required to spin a few rounds before heading towards the table and grabbing the money. And despite the “challenges” that they have to go through before scooping, most of the employees were able to grab a decent amount off the table!
Speaking to Wau Post, Michael said that he would make this an annual thing for his employees.
“I want this to be a form of encouragement”, said Michael.

He also added that the reason he posted the video is to showcase the bond and benefits that will come along with the job. Encouraging for more people to apply!
Indeed, a creative way to not only boost morale between his current employees, but also to encourage more people to work for them!
