From Shaolin Soccer to Kung Fu Hustle and CJ 7, Stephen Chow is a Hong Kong actor, director and comedian who is well-known across Asia for his comedic stylings in cinema. Not too long ago, the veteran Hong Kong star has finally landed himself on Instagram and has been known to occasionally interact with his fans in his comments section.

But what local content creator Jenn Chia did not expect was not only to receive a reply from Stephen Chow over social media, but to be granted the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream to meet him in person!

Jenn Chia fulfills lifelong dream of meeting HK star Stephen Chow

Just yesterday, Jenn has taken her excitement onto her socials, announcing that she had fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams by meeting Stephen Chow and had the pleasure of having dinner with him. The Malaysian content creator shared that back in February 9, she left a comment in one of Stephen Chow’s Instagram post, saying that she has always been a fan of his works and would love to meet him in person, even for just a span of five minutes.

And among the thousands of comments that Stephen Chow received, he had chose to reply to Jenn’s comment by asking her when she will be heading to Hong Kong.

“Anytime, will you be coming to Hong Kong?”

Following that, Jenn excitedly flew to Hong Kong, adding on that she doesn’t know what to expect but was excited regardless. She then shared that she and her partner Jon headed on to a restaurant upon their arrival in the city to meet the man himself.

Filled with adrenaline, Jenn finally brought her dream to life when she not only had dinner with Stephen Chow, but even received a personalised signature from him! Apparently during her time with the star, she said that he introduced them to some famous Teow Chow cuisine and adds that she was still in a state of complete disbelief.

Following that, Jenn’s Instagram post was reposted by Stephen Chow himself, saying that he was happy to see her.

As her video garnered attention, many netizens have shared her excitement and joy in being able to meet a man who has shaped an entire generation of Asian pop culture in person.
