Just over a month ago, the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022, were released and it was said that over 10,000 students nationwide have obtained straight A’s in their examination. Just today, the Malaysia Examination Council (MPM) has announced the results for those who decided to further their studies by taking the STPM.
1,182 STPM candidates last year scored a perfect 4.0 CGPA!
For those who are unfamiliar, Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Persokalahan Malaysia (STPM) is a pre-examination course taken by Malaysian students after they’ve finished their secondary school studies. Following the announcement of the results, it was delighting to see that the results have shown incredible improvement, as compared to the previous years.
Watching the announcement, Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Ekhwan Toriman, the MPM Chairman revealed that the National CGPA for STPM 2022 is 2.82 as compared to 2.79 back in 2021.
“Looking at the CGPA achievements, the percentage of STPM 2022 candidates who scored 3.75 and above stand at 9.59 percent, with 42.96 percent of candidates scoring a CGPA of 3.0 and 56.76 percent scoring 2.75 and above”, he added.
Other than that, it was said that 1,182 STPM candidates have managed to achieve a perfect 4.0 CGPA score! As compared to last year, only 874 students who took up STPM managed to score a perfect 4.0. To top it off, amongst the 1,182 students, approximately 1,009 candidates come from the B40 community.
“This year’s national CGPA results is said to be the highest CGPA recorded since the implementation of STPM”, said MPM Chairman.
