During one fateful encounter, Joeoh picked up a passenger who was on the way to the airport. As the two chatted in the car, the passenger explained that he was returning to his home in India.

They began to talk about the man’s family, and Joeoh found out that he was the only son with one sister. Soon, the conversation topic shifted to the passenger’s father.

“My father would always scream at me when he was alive,” the man humorously recounts. The passenger also mentioned how his father had been ill. However, as he was in the midst of sharing about his father, Joeoh noticed that the man had started to shed some tears.

Concerned, Joeoh asked him if he was alright. After taking some time, the man spoke about his harsh reality working far from home. “If we can’t find money, we can’t eat,” he said. At that moment, his words struck Joeoh, who felt bad. He realized that while he got to eat and sleep comfortably, not everyone possessed the same fortune.

Speaking to Wau Post, Joeoh wishes for the video to serve as a channel for foreign workers. “I hope it brings more awareness on the plight of foreign workers in Malaysia, and the issues they face,” he expressed. Moreover, viewers were touched by the Joeoh’s kindness, praising him for his empathetic attitude towards the passenger.
