When it comes to customer service, their task is to ensure that their customers are satisfied with their service. But how many of them would really go above and beyond? Just recently, a Malaysian has shared a heartwarming post about her encounter with a Zus coffee employee.
Kind Zus coffee employee writes note on tissue to cheer M’sian up
In her post on Xiao Hong Shu, Rachel shared that she had just finished a project with a rather demanding client. To reward herself, she decided to treat herself to a cup of buttercream latte. As she was ordering a drink, she received a message from the client, belittling her, despite putting in all her effort.
“When I saw the message, my spirits were so dampened and I couldn’t help but tear up”, she said.
As she was waiting for her drink, Rachel kept telling herself to “suck it up” and not let her emotions out in public as she’s already an adult. She shared that she didn’t want to cry in public, but she could feel her tears forming in her eyes.
When she recalled the project she was handling the past 2 months, she couldn’t help but feel upset as she tried her best to ensure that it runs smoothly. While she understood that doing her best at work is expected, what discouraged her was the client’s lack of basic respect for her.
Couldn’t contain her tears
As she received her coffee order, she was surprised to find a note on her tissue paper and paper bag. On the tissue paper, it wrote,
“Love yourself. I’m sorry you had a bad day today. Please have a good sleep tonight. Bye!”
As she read the note given, she couldn’t help but shed tears as she was touched by the heartwarming gesture of the staff. Following the post, many netizens have left their comments and here’s what some of them said:
“I was having a bad day in school and proceeded to went out with my friends for a meal at HaiDiLao. As I was venting to my friends, I couldn’t contain my tears and started crying.
One of the staff members saw me crying and gave me a fairy lightstick saying, “fairies don’t cry”. I couldn’t contain myself and cried louder.”
“I have a lot of faith towards Zus, Secret Recipe and MCD. Their employees are really passionate and kind. Perhaps this is why they’re successful.”
