Living in a society, it’s always nice to look out for one another. Just recently, a Malaysian was praised by local authorities, as well as netizens for their act of kindness.
Kind M’sians stops car to help old lady who was lost
According to a post by Polis Daerah Petaling Jaya, an old lady who resides in Taman Gembira, Kuala Lumpur was on the way home. However, as the 85-year-old headed towards the toll at Penchala Link, she had forgotten her way home. Left with no choice, the old lady had to stop her car by the road.
Thankfully, a kind samaritan who noticed the distressed woman decided to stop her car and check on the woman. Upon finding out that she had lost her way, she quickly contacted local authorities for further assistance. The police then dispatched SL 775 MPV BPJKK towards the location.
The police then brought the 85-year-old back to the station and started contacting her family members to come pick her up and send her home. Following the incident, local newspaper Sin Chew Daily reported that it was not the first time since the woman had gotten lost while driving out alone.
With that, authorities have urged the public to be more aware of their family members, especially those who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Following the post, plenty of netizens have left their comments and here’s what some of them said:
