In a recent act of display in kindness, a Malaysian man has decided to lend a helping hand by offering a car ride to a woman who had just lost her husband.
Kind M’sian offers woman & child a ride back to Seremban
According to local newspaper China Press, a Malaysian woman had taken her distress onto her Facebook last weekend, sharing that she’d like to attend her husband’s wake. However, as she is heading to Seremban from Skudai Johor, she revealed that a single trip would cost her over RM800 while a round trip would cost her RM1,700.
“I don’t think I can afford it”, she said, hoping that there are kindhearted souls who are willing to help her.
Following her post, many people have offered their services, with some vowing to give her a round trip with just RM1,000. And while there were many that were willing to help, a generous Malaysian had decided to comment on her post, offering her a free ride.
Initially, he commented on the post, offering the woman and her child a ride to Seremban, leaving her the option to pay any amount that she could afford. After a short while, the man commented again, this time saying that he is willing to fetch her and her child to Seremban for free.
Managed to pay her last respect to her husband
“I’ll just take it as I’m heading back to my hometown”, said the man.
When interviewed by China Press, the man shared that he did not ask for any compensation from the woman or from the public. After finding out about the woman’s financial state, the man had generously offered a free ride for the woman and the child. Fortunately, the man was able to send the woman to Seremban, paying her last respects to her husband.
“I only helped out with what I could”, said the man.
Ending the interview, the man urged for the public to always have a kind heart and lend a helping hand when they’re able to, adding that he is just happy that he was able to help.
