Just recently, a heartwarming story has been making waves on social media, where two policemen were commended for their compassionate act towards elderly who accidentally fell off his bicycle.
Kind abang polis brings old man for food
In the post, it was said that Corporal Izwan and Constable Diren were patrolling around Kampung Dewan in Taiping. As they patrolled, they found an old man by the roadside with his bicycle. Stepping out of their vehicle to assess the situation, the two policemen found out that the old man had accidentally fall off from his bicycle, due to hunger and exhaustion.

Probing further, it was understood that the man was heading home after his dialysis but succumbed to fatigue. Knowing that the man hasn’t had the chance to eat, Corporal Izwan and Constable Diren then brought the man to a nearby eatery so he could replenish his energy.
Malaysians unite
As they were walking him to a nearby eatery, a Malay and Indian man immediately rushed up and provded their assistance by helping the old man bring his bicycle to the shop. After a much-needed meal, the pair then slowly brought the old man home. Witnessing the heartwarming incident, local vendor Xu Guo Sheng told local newspaper Oriental Daily that this was indeed a touching display of kindness and sense of community.

“Giving them thumbs up for serving the community and taking a step further to ensure the old man was safe”, said Xu.
Evidently, their act of kindness while serving the community has truly highlighted the essence of Malaysia and improved the relationship between authorities and the community.
