Residing in Kota Belud, Sabah, a 57-year-old Malaysia rubber tapper has become the 99th person to win a whopping 1 million Ringgit from BSN!

According to local newspaper, Sinar Harian, Johni Satur, shared that over 2 years ago, he has withdrawn his Employees Provident Fund (EPF) depositing it into his BSN saving account.
“My second child advised me to do so because they’re afraid that I may be a victim that has fallen for a scam”, he said.

Following that, just last week, Johni received a call informing him that he was the 99th person to have won a lucky draw from BSN under the Sijil Simpanan Premium (SSP). Upon hearing the news, the rubber tapper couldn’t help but started to tremble as he was in disbelief.
While it was a surprising news, Johni kept his guard up and did not respond immediately. Heading over to the bank counter, the rubber tapper cross checked with the bank employee and to his delight, the call he received was not a scam! On top of that, Johni shared that the announcement was actually shared back in April. However, due to unstable connection he only managed to get the call last week.

Earning only a mere RM500 a month as a rubber tapper, the money he won is definitely a great help especially for his 2 other children who are still in school.
“The 2 children in school are currently in Form 6 and standard 1. This money will definitely be used for their education in the near future”, he mentioned.
