Following Johan’s boxing journey in the ONE Championship, he was set to face a 24-year-old two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai last Friday (26 May). During the match, Johan was hurt, suffering from a bleeding on his forehead, and was mindful that that the referee could end the match at any given moment.
His opponent was seen sticking his tongue out taunting him, but the Sarawakian boxer remained unbothered. Without much hesitation, Johan then went in with the same left hook, right overhand combo he used back in February, successfully knocking his opponent out gaining a swift victory.
Subsequently, after his swift victory that allowed him to bag another RM46k, Johan thanked his parents for showing him unconditional support and encouragement throughout the 6 years of his boxing journey. Not forgetting to thank his coach Addy Singpayak, Johan mentioned that his coach has always put his best interest first, ensuring that his trainings were on track.
