“I am their only hope”, M’sian reveals that his siblings gave up their opportunity to study for him

Having a supportive family is definitely a blessing as they become your pillar of strength. Just recently, a TikTok video has made waves around social media, sharing the touching story of a Malaysian student, where his siblings gave up their opportunity to study for him.

According to the video, Haris shared that he has two families, one being his biological family, and one being his adopted family. Despite being adopted into a new family, he shared that he has remained close with his biological family. And being the youngest in the family, his 11 siblings that came before him had decided to give him the opportunity to study.

“All of my siblings didn’t complete their studies, they gave me the opportunity to do so and have places all their hopes on me”, said Haris.

Grateful for the opportunity to study, Haris mentioned that he is really pushing himself towards success as he wants to change the fate of his family. He also shared that his siblings would often present him with words of encouragement, in hopes that it would continue to motivate him to do well.

Sharing his life story, Haris claimed that he isn’t the best child to his adoptive parents as he would occasionally argue with them. But despite that, he is determined to prove to both his family that he will succeed. As he reminisces the time spent with his biological family, he couldn’t help but bring up his mother.

“When I was really young, she would always bring me out, and it saddens me to know that she’s been diagnosed with stage-4 cancer”, he said, as he tears up.

Following his story, plenty of Haris’s friends came to him and offered him words of encouragement, giving him the strength to continue pushing through.

Similarly, many netizens have also commented on the post, encouraging Haris to push through and persevere, despite his family conditions.

“May you succeed one day. We may not be rich but when you’re knowledgeable, things will change.”
