Have Halal, Will Travel Celebrates Singapore’s Diverse Culture with ‘Together at The Table 2022’

Have Halal, Will Travel (HHWT) has given Malaysians an additional reason to head over to Singapore. The largest travel and lifestyle platform for Muslims in Asia has recently launched a food festival aptly themed “Together At The Table 2022”, a fringe event that follows on after the Singapore Food Festival 2022. Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, the event aims to satisfy the growing taste for halal culinary experiences in the region.

“Though more well known for its bustling city decked with skyscrapers and meticulous landscapes, Singapore also houses cultural precincts such as Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Gelam, and Katong-Joo Chiat. We aim to help travellers from all walks of life to discover Singapore’s hidden gems of diverse halal food options within these four well-known precincts. Singapore really has more than meets the eyes with new experiences waiting to be uncovered at every corner,” said Tengku Suzana, HHWT co-founder.

Together At The Table 2022 Line Ups

From now till 23 October 2022, visitors can expect a wide range of experiences centred around halal food that includes three masterclasses, two curated dining experiences, and several food tours to Singapore precincts to choose from at “Together At The Table 2022”.

During the event, participants will be able to experience curated dining experiences that introduce forgotten and uncommon Nusantara ingredients, which will be revealed during the curated dining experience. Participants can also learn more and level up on the culinary front through three different masterclasses: a knowledge-sharing session about beef with The Meatery, a Muslim-owned premium halal butcher. For those who aren’t the biggest meat lovers, there is also a session on how to make fresh pasta with Tipo a pasta café, and a mocktail tutorial by Picanhas, a halal steak house in Singapore.

Halal Food at the Tip of Your Fingers

To go hand in hand with the ‘Together At The Table’ campaign, HHWT has also launched a social commerce platform, Tribes, for Muslim travellers to discover destinations and get recommendations from the communities on where to stay, what to do, where to eat, what to
buy, and how to get there.

The community-driven platform allows the Tribes members to interact through content sharing that helps users make better travel and purchase decisions. Members can contribute by sharing their reviews, editing a listing, and even suggesting a new listing to earn points, which can then be used to purchase exclusive online deals. Some of the activities include private dining, cooking masterclasses and tours.
