Filial M’sian daughter buys a brand-new car for her parents to thank them for raising her

Parents’ love for their children would always go far and it’s apparent that they would sacrifice plenty, to ensure that their children would grow up without having to worry about their future. Just recently, a heartwarming video has been making waves on social media, regarding a filial daughter buying a brand-new car for her parents.

According to the video, Kak Paten shared that her parents never had a new car their entire life. Recalling the times, she grew up, she mentioned that during festive season they’d have to head back to their hometown, they would take their dad’s 12-tyre lorry.

“Occasionally we would take the bus, or carpool with our relatives”, she said.

With tears brimming to her eyes, she revealed that her parents have had a little car that they drive around but as time passes, the car hasn’t been functioning well, breaking down occasionally.

Wants to thank her parents for raising her

“This time, I want to surprise them with a brand-new car”, she said.

With the sole purpose of thanking her parents for raising her despite the hardships, she tricked her parents into thinking that she wants to film a TikTok video. As they were filming, she then placed the car key on her parents’ hand. Feeling confused, her mother asked what the keys were to which she told her to try the keys out.

Her father then tested out the keys and they were surprised to see that they were gifted a new car. Struggling to hold back their tears of joy, Kak Paten was then embraced by her parents. Speaking to Wau Post, Kak Paten shared that she didn’t pay the car in cash but borrowed a loan for it.

“I’m fully paying for the car that my parents are driving”, she said.

When ask for words of encouragement, Kak Paten urged the public to not be too calculative with their parents.

“If you’re able to afford it, you should just treat them well”, she mentioned.

Uploading the heartwarming video online, plenty of netizens have commented on it and here’s what some of them said:

“I think all children have the dream to gift their parents a car. Pray that I will be able to gift my mother a car too. My mom has never owned a car her entire life, even after my father passed.”
