Talk about live music entertainment acts, and those of us living in Malaysia have plenty to look forward to for the remainder of 2022 and beyond. Whether it be Canadian international pop star Justin Bieber and his Justice world tour, which is slated for an October date, or Billie Eilish’s Better Than Ever tour coming this August, to Jay Chou’s long-awaited Carnival concert in January 2023, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
Jackson Wang & CL slated to take the stage at Good Vibes Weekender Festival
And now, it looks like yet more international stars are set to make a splash by touching-down here in Malaysian shores, as Chinese pop sensation Jackson Wang as well as K-pop star CL from girl group 2NE1 have been announced as the among the acts who are set to take the stage at the Good Vibes Weekender concert come this September 23rd and 24th!
A new venture organised by the same people behind Malaysia’s premiere music festival, Good Vibes, the Good Vibes Weekender will be held at the Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon theme park. Headlining acts aside, the performance line-up will also feature performances by British alternative singer-songwriter Beabadoobee, UK pop duo Oh Wonder, UK DJ duo Snakehips, in addition to Los-Angeles based singer Shallou and Seattleite Surf Mesa.
They will be joined by a host of Malaysia’s brightest musical talents
They will be joined by some of Malaysia’s biggest local performers, including rapper Joe Flizzow who was made popular by tracks such as Havoc and Ciao, as well as French-Malaysian singer SonaOne. This is followed by Malaysian female girl group DOLLA, local R&B talent NYK who has just recently been signed on to American record label Ultra Records, local singer Yonnyboii, and homegrown alt-rock band Midnight Fusic.
To round off the list, Malaysian novelist and singer Claudia, Shah-Alam based indie disco pop outfit Late Night Frequency, genre-fluid indie band The Peachskins, singer liesl-mae fresh off her newly inked deal with Sony’s OFFMUTE record label, and rising R&B singer Alex Ungku, will all be making appearances on stage.
Tickets will go on sale at 3.00pm sharp tomorrow (August 2nd 2022) at the official Good Vibes website here. Pricing details are as follows:

Doors will open from 4,00pm onwards for both days of the festival.
