Known for their unique rendition of different songs, while showcasing the culture of Malaysia, this chorale group based in Sabah has shared an enchanting performance of a famous Malay Folk Song, Jong Jong Inai!

For those who are unfamiliar, Jong Jong Inai is a song that highlights the beauty of Inai plant. Performing at the first North Borneo choir celebration concert, the iconic group, In Unity Chorale has decided to perform a classic Malay folk song titled “Jong Jong Inai”. Donning in their stunning light blue gowns and dark blue blouse, the ensemble was able to captivate the attention of many with their exceptional rendition of the song.

Speaking to Wau Post, In Unity Chorale revealed that the rendition for the Malay folk song took them a little over 2 months to prepare. From the song arrangement to all the practices, it was evident that all the members of the group were committed.

“Despite some of the challenges faced, we’re happy that as a group, we’re able to showcase a glimpse of Malaysia through our arrangement of the song”, said the ensemble.

When asked about their future plans, the group shared that they’re currently in the midst of preparing for another upcoming concert. However, details have yet to be revealed.
