The RuMa Hotel and Residences Unveils a New Culinary Chapter for ATAS

The RuMa Hotel and Residences is proud to announce the reimagining of its signature restaurant, ATAS, adopting a new bistro persona and offering a fresh dining experience. Making its debut in June 2024, the new ATAS menu gives guests a taste of classic European dishes infused with the distinctive ATAS flair, all while showcasing sustainably sourced ingredients.

Celebrating European cuisine with a Malaysian heart

The new direction for ATAS aims for it to be a sanctuary amidst the bustling city centre, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests can come together, unwind and indulge in comforting, heartfelt cuisine. Chef Suhalmi Tasir, a pivotal member of the original ATAS opening team and now the Executive Chef of The RuMa Hotel and Residences, spearheads this culinary journey.

“Everyone has their own definition of comfort food, but the feelings evoked – warmth, comfort, and familiarity – are universal,” he says. “By blending classic European techniques with sustainably sourced ingredients, we are able to offer a menu that is both innovative and heartfelt. I am thrilled to lead this culinary journey and look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy the unique flavors and warm hospitality that define ATAS.”

The menu at ATAS focuses on simple yet elegant European dishes, prepared with a modern twist that reflects the innovative spirit that ATAS has always been known for. Utilizing a MIBRASA woodburning oven, the culinary team brings out deep, rich flavors in their creations, highlighting the best of both European techniques and Malaysian ingredients.

The new ATAS menu offers a variety of dining options, from a set lunch to an indulgent dinner experience. Guests can enjoy a two-course set lunch for RM88 nett or a three-course set lunch for RM105 nett. For an exquisite dining experience, the set dinner is priced at RM328 nett per person, with supplementary items available at à la carte prices.
