In a recent triumphant victory, Malaysian Sepak Takraw team successfully won a gold medal at the Sepak Takraw World Cup, after beating their opponent team from Thailand.

According to local newspaper Berita Harian, thousands of local fans in the Titiwangsa Stadium roared overjoyed cheers as they witness the momentous win of the Malaysian Sepak Takraw team, at the Sepak Takraw World Cup. The local daily reported that both the Malaysia’s national doubles and inter-regu teams have gained victory, an amazing achievement that surprised many.

During the match, Malaysia gained amazing momentum, leading by six points before Thailand caught on. Despite catching on, the iconic duo, Aidil Aiman Azwawi and Noraizat Mohd Nordin persevered and played their best, winning the match by just a point at 17-16.

Moving on to the second set, the iconic duo also held out well, winning the set at 15-13. As for the inter-regu competition, Farhan Adam, Syahir Rosdi and Azlan Alias managed to win by 7 points, leaving the scores at 15-8. After an intense second set, the Malaysian trio managed to win the set by 15-12.

This victorious win by Team Malaysia is definitely a joyful occasion to many local fans as it has been a hope for the Malaysian team to win the World Cup since it started back in 2011. With that said, this marks the first time Malaysia has managed to defeat Thailand in a doubles event.
