SG company thanks foreign worker who worked for 27 years by throwing him a farewell party

Over the years we’ve seen plenty of news regarding foreign workers heading to countries like Singapore for work, in hopes of a better future for their family. Just recently, a video of a farewell party for a foreign worker has gone viral, as he has dedicated 27 years of his life, working for the company.

According to the video posted on TikTok by Imran, a man named Sona was seen hugging his supervisor with a face full of tears. Turns out, it was his last day at work as he is officially retiring and returning back to his hometown. And in honor of his hard work and dedication towards the company, they’ve decided to throw him a farewell party.

For the past three decades that Sona was in Singapore, he has spent 27 years working in this company. Along the years, Sona was promoted, leading him to become one of the seniors in the company. During the farewell party, Sona’s supervisor conveyed his speech in a tearful manner, thanking him for his services all these years.

He mentioned that regardless of how challenging the tasks were, Sona had never once complained and would face it head on. And for that, he expressed his gratitude for Sona.  Sona’s bosses bought him a gold necklace, as a token of appreciation for all his hard work during his 27 years of tenure.

“All the best Sona”, said the bosses, before presenting him with the gift.

The heartfelt video was then uploaded online where many people praised the bosses for their kindness and generosity. Here’s what some of them said:

It’s definitely apparent that Sona was treated well in the last 27 years, here’s to wishing that he will have a great time reuniting with his loved ones back in Bangladesh!
