This comes after His Majesty had visited the the national flood forecasting and warning centre (PRABN) in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday (October 6th, 2022) to be kept appraised of the flood situation in Malaysia, and called upon all relevant agencies to prepare for the likelihood of floods to take place.

His Majesty’s concerns were echoed by both the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) and the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), given the potential hazards that it may lead to.

Upon the dissolution of Parliament, the next General Election is expected to be held within 60 days.
