“Other patients matter too”, Kind M’sian aunty feeds patient after seeing him struggle to eat his meal

In a recent heartwarming event, a Malaysian aunty has gone viral for her gesture, feeding a patient his dinner, after noticing that he is struggling to eat his meal.

Sharing her story to Wau Post, Jamuna mentioned that her brother was admitted to the hospital as he needs to undergo heart surgery. The next day, another man has been admitted to the same ward. Speaking to Wau Post, she said,

“My aunt came over to visit my brother and saw the man struggling to eat his own meal.”

Learning about his condition, her aunt was told that the man is actually a stroke patient. Due to his condition, he has developed difficulties eating and speaking. Feeling empathetic about his condition, Jamuna’s aunt then decided to walk over and help the man by feeding him.

“Initially, he rejected my aunt’s offer to help him, but my aunt insisted, saying that he has to eat so he can take his medication”, she mentioned.

As she feeds him, the man was so touched that he started tearing up while eating his food. Despite the lack of communication, Jamuna’s aunt could feel how grateful the man was, and she was happy that she is able to help him. After his meal, the man then fell asleep soundly.

Posting the heartwarming video online, many netizens have commented on it and here’s what some of them said:

“When I was in labour, trying to withstand the contractions alone, an Indian aunty working as a cleaner came in and comforted me.”

“I’ve previously gone into an accident and I’ve fractured my hand while my body was in so much pain that i couldn’t get up from the bed. Then, an Indian aunty came over and fed me breakfast, she even dipped the bread into tea and fed me.” 

Thank you for extending your warm and caring nature towards another person, when you see them struggling.
