M’sian Urumi Drum group plays classic Raya song with Urumi Drums
Making it a tribute to all the Muslims in Malaysia, the group has decided to put a spin the classic Raya song, “Suasana di Hari Raya” with their Urumi Drums. Speaking to Wau Post, Nantha and Lachman are both managing a music group called Sai Naga Urumi Melam.
Prior to this the duo was actually in a music group called Sai Naga Bhajans where they’ve been performing for over 13 years. Upon having the idea of putting a slight spin onto the classic Raya song, the team then played the song with their drums, blending the perfect rhythm.
And as expected, the video posted online has since garnered over 266k likes and plenty of netizens have commented on the video. Here’s what some of them said:
“How do I ‘order’ them? Is there a yellow bag I could tap and add it to my cart? I want to hold an open house and dance.”
“This is the best! Malaysians living in harmony. Congratulations to them because I felt like dancing. Thank you.”
“Can we invite them to perform at our open house?”
We love seeing how creative these young minds can be. Keep up the good work! For event enquiries feel free to contact them here.
