M’sian couple gets charged for RM5 ‘parking’ fee by aunty
During a recent incident, a couple who were travelling with their friend decided to stop by Damascus in Bukit Bintang for a late-night bite. Little did they know, they were about to bite off more than they can chew.
A TikTok video has been making its rounds online, catching the attention of many netizens empathizing with the couple. In the post, an old woman can be seen loudly bargaining with the couple, demanding for parking fee.
According to the user, they had been waiting in the car for no longer than a few minutes, before the woman had approached them. The old woman can be seen arguing with the couple, claiming that she owned the spot. She even insisted that she had been here for years, and no one had any problem with paying the fee.
Before the situation could escalate any further, the driver relented, and handed over some cash to the woman. However, other TikTok users were quick to comment on the video and here’s what some of them said:
“I think RM5 is fine, I encountered a similar incident, and they asked me RM10. I only stopped my car for 5 minutes so I can buy a snack.”

Nonetheless, the experience has left many appalled with the woman’s behavior and calling out for proper action to be taken against such people.
