One of the best things about heading to school is the memories and friends you’re able to make during your schooling years, whether it be class parties, birthday celebrations, or graduation ceremonies. Just over the weekend, a primary school teacher named Elden has shared a heartwarming TikTok video showcasing how his class had organised a small performance to help commemorate the birthday of one of his students.
Malaysian boy puts on performance for classmate’s birthday in school
But one young boy stood out in particular for his enthusiasm and zeal, as he got onto his feet and began to dance to the medley, putting on a truly riveting show to the delight of his classmates and the birthday girl.
According to Elden, he was their PE teacher and took the chance to ask if any of his students are celebrating their birthdays that week after completing one of their periods. A female student then replied saying that her birthday fell on February 19th.
Following that, the little boy then stood up and started singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her, ushering other students to join in as he performed his rendition of the song to much aplomb, showcasing what one may even consider to be the trappings of a star in the making.
What made the clip all the more heartwarming was how other students readily joined in without hesitation, singing in unison all the same.
“The boy that did the special performance is actually good friends with the girl celebrating her birthday”, he said.
The clip, which has since gone viral and was viewed a whopping 4 million times since it was uploaded, has won over the hearts of social media users across the country. Many commended the boy for his unabashed performance and the pure sense of harmony and unity that existed between the students in the classroom.
“Giving the best performance for his friend even though they are from different races. His spirit in making friends is very good!”
“One day boy… You’ll be famous.”
Some even wondered if he secretly harbored a crush on the birthday girl.
