Just yesterday (June 14), a shocking news made its wave on social media where a man was shot twice in Bandar Sunway. The tragic event happened during broad daylight at a handphone accessories shop leaving witnesses and onlookers in a state of shock. Subsequently, local authorities were alerted and arrived at the scene 5 minutes after and the victim who was lying in a pool of blood was sent to the hospital in Serdang. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away shortly after.

Upon initial investigations, the forensics team have found two bullet casings, bullet fragments, a bullet shell, two blood swabs, and a pair of slippers. Local newspaper China Press reported that Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat revealed that the victim has records of stealing and robbing.

Probing further, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat has also confirmed that three assailants were seen entering the shop, and one of them fired shots at him. When asked if the incident is related to organised crime, the authorities mentioned that further investigations will need to be conducted in order to determine the real cause.

Currently, the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and if convicted, the assailants may face a death penalty, life imprisonment along with a fine. Local authorities are also appealing to the public to contact them if they’re equipped with any information about the case.
